OOPS! Forgot a couple sports things (my bad, sorry 'bout that)
The Wiener Dog nationals are at River Downs Aug 2nd
The Bassinet Stakes at River Downs is Aug 30th
OK, we need a flavor of the month for August.
The Peachness is still available, so we could just go with that but...
Lets switch things up a bit. What says august to me?
HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!?!?!?
Think think think....
You know, it really gets hot here in Cincy during August. 90 degree days are pretty common. Sometimes it gets so hot you could fry an egg on the sidewalk (might wanna clean it real well first and toss some bacon down with it MMMMMMMM Bacon! D'OH!) Great time to wind down the summer with a little getting wet kind of fun. Poolside or sprinklers or whatever your got to help keep you when it gets hot. Heck, you could fill the tub with ice and make yourself a human slushee
Wait a minute. A slushee, or even a snow cone or italian ice or icee....
THAT'S IT!
A frozen treat that says summer and cool me down when it gets even hotter. And what's colder than cold. ICE COLD.
ICE BABY!
Frozen treats for everyone this August.
Break out your snoopy snow cone machine, make some slushees, smoothies, freezes, italian ice, icees, heck lets toss in flavor ice and freezer pops while we are at it.
(frozen margaritas and other frozen adult beverages do count, of course )
Ice is nice and here's to the ice that when mixed with the numerous flavors and flavor combinations make up this months flavor of the month!
Of course all chips, chunks, dips, dunks, swirls, twirls... (you know the rest) are in as well.
I raise a frozen toast (actually, try to avoid freezing toast it makes it really hard to get the butter to melt on it) to the flavor of the month for August!
Still much more to come

Yeah, don't forget those Bearcats opening on August 28 against Eastern Kentucky. A game at Nippert is a really good time - not a bad seat in the house in one of college football's oldest stadiums.
I'm a season ticket holder. Can't wait.
